Baby Number Two :)

My boyfriend Kenneth and I just found out we are expecting our second child. My due date is May 4th, 2012 which means Mason and the new addition with be 22 months apart. We are so excited and have already bought a few neutral gifts for the little one. I have already given thought to names and we are very much leaning towards Jameson Carter if it is a boy and either Gabriella, or Maya if it is a girl. What is some good advice for handling two children so close together?

Switching your baby from bottle to sippy cup?

When trying to guide my son through the transition from bottle to sippy cup it was hard to find one that he took to until I tried the NUK silicone learner sippy cups. They are most like a bottle in the sense that the spout is made from silicone but they are still considered a sippy cup. They are available at babiesrus, and walmart for sure because that is where I purchased ours. They come in such adorable designs and a few are neutral. Another great aspect to these sippy cups is their removable handles which help you little one learn to drink all on their own!

Johnson & Johnson Honey Apple

The new Honey Apple scent from Johnson & Johnson is my absolute favorite out many different brands/scents. If you are looking to try a new brand, or maybe you already use Johnson's baby wash but are seeking a sweeter scent, pick this up at your next shopping trip!

Carter's Children's Clothing Store

This has to be my favorite clothing store by far for babies & children. Their clothes hold up better than any other brands I have purchased for my son. Before I go to their store I go to one of my favorite sites retailmenot and print out a coupon, I try to go on Tuesdays because then I also get their stamp it twice tuesday deal. They have a stamp card which gets stamped for every $20 you spend. Once you get 5 stamps you get $10 off a $10 + purchase, and on Tuesdays you get two stamps for every $20 you spend. Every Wednesday is grandparents day which is where you get an additional 10% off you total when you mention you are a grandparent which is applied in addition to any coupons and/or in store discounts! One of my favorite collection they have is their little occasions line which makes every one of your babies holidays memorable.

Shutterfly

If you are someone who likes to get photos printed out, design personalized invites, thank you cards, if you are expecting a baby which you'll send out birth announcements for or are planning on getting married I highly suggest you do so through a site called Shutterfly. They were awarded the Winning website for their Photo Books. You can have so much fun designing a photo book which some may compare to a mini scrapbook, because they are definitely more unique than your ordinary photo album. Shutterfly gives you 50 free 4x6 prints for signing up, if you create a share site they e-mail you a link for an additional 30 free 4x6 prints (you pay tax and shipping) and at almost every given moment they have promo's in effect for free merchandise such as at this moment they have a promo for 5 free 5x7 greeting cards, or either 5x7 or 5x5 stationary cards for Father's Day. The code for this is DADCARD. I ordered my free 80 prints last week and they arrived by the fourth day! They are super cheap, fast, they are well known for having unlimited storage and guarantee they will never delete any of your photos. All in all no where else comes close in comparison creatively speaking or in customer satisfaction. Check it out using this link: shutterfly

Sophie the Giraffe by Vulli

Sophie is a teething toy which we splurged and bought my son for Christmas. My boyfriend wasn't too pleased about coughing up $20 for a little giraffe but he gave in. My son Mason takes his sophie everywhere, it is his favorite item that must go with us even on a quick run to the store. We now both agree that sophie was a great investment for our little one who is teething and constantly chewing on sophie. She is painted with edible paint, and she squeaks to help babies learn cause & effect. I recommend this to all new parents and she could be a great gift for a baby of either sex.
